If you put the crate where you and the family is located, they will feel like part of the family.

I on the other hand, let my Australian shepherds sleep on the bed with me which a lot of people would cringe at, but since I live alone, they keep me company.

Get the crate before you bring the puppy home so he will know right off that that’s his place to sleep and not to use the bathroom. Only leave him there a small amount of time to start with and then longer as time goes on. As you go on, leave him in longer for one to three hours so that when you have to leave he will be all right alone. Until he’s trained, he has to stay inside the crate when he’s not playing or going out to the bathroom if that’s the way you train him.

Wait for ten to fifteen minutes after feeding and take him outside to use the bathroom. Then play with him for awhile until he learns that he’s to go outside. Praise him when he goes outside so he will know he’s to go outside and not in the house.

When a person decides to own a dog, he should be prepared to care for it properly. For a dog to stay healthy it must be correctly fed and adequately groomed, and its medical needs must be met. For a dog to be well-mannered it must be properly trained. It should never be ill-treated or mishandled. Otherwise, it will bite in its own defense.
Remember that each dog breed is different. Some dog breeds require lots of time that you will have to dedicate to groom and to exercise. Some dog breeds require little or no exercise but other dog breeds may require a walk three times every day. Please make sure you are making the right decision when you choose which dog breed is right for you.
www.caninefairgrounds.com
